WWW Wednesdays!

What are you reading Wednesday is a weekly 'tag' (a.k.a meme) created by Should be Reading's. Anyone can join in by answering the following three (3) questions
  1.  What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you will read next?
So lets get going!!

What am I currently reading?

Across the Universe by Beth Revis - I am really enjoying this so far, a really unique and though provoking young adult science fiction. Well worth check out!

What did you recently finish reading?

Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James - I read this because everyone was talking about it and not really sure what all the hype is about! You can read my mini review on my Facebook page where I gave it 5/5.

What do you think you will read next?

Dragondrums by Anne McCaffrey - this is the next book in the Dragonriders of Pern series I have on my TBR pile. I love the last book I read Dragonsinger so I have high expectations for this one!

Let me know what you are reading at the moment in the comments below, and what you think I should be reading next!

Thanks for reading,

Love Rie x

    1. No problem! I love you blog :)

I have done a review of it on my Facebook page if you interested. I gave it a 5/10! Very average. I am planning to do a post on similar books or films that are better than 50 shades!!

      :)

  2. Everything you have here is on my TBR shelves but I don't think I'll be getting to 50 Shades any time soon. The hype is not very appealing to me and I've heard from several people that it's not all it's cracked up to be. But I suppose I'll have to read it for my own interest. : )

Great books here. Hope you enjoyed/are enjoying/will enjoy them all! And thanks for visiting The Daily Bookmark

    1. No problem Jessie :)

I would recommend reading Across the Universe first. Nothing like 50 Shades, but is a really awesome YA science fiction! I don't think I have read anything like it before and I am loving it :D

  3. I'm curious about all three of those books, though I'm a little ashamed to admit it of Fifty Shades of Grey. I've seen the movie, Across the Universe, a musical that uses songs by The Beatles, but it doesn't look like the book is related. Or is it?

    Here's my WWW Wednesdays.

    1. I don't think so, the name must be a coincidence! If you get a chance to read it tho I would really recommend it!

  4. I'm reading game of thrones; A dance with dragons, which is just as good as the others!

I just finished the hunt for the phoenix, which I thoroughly enjoyed but at the end thought a lil bit of it was quite YA orientated. Loved it all the same.

I plan on reading the forgotten highlander next.

    1. I'm glad you like Hunt for the Phoenix - it is a YA and I think that is prob its worst enemy sometimes but I love it all the same.

I wish I had the commitment to read the Game of Thrones - I know I am going to love them it is just the sheer volume of them is so intimidating!!

      xx

  5. I couldn't get into 50 Shades of Grey.
Though I've not read her book, Beth Revis is such a supportive person of new authors.

    1. Revis is a fantastic author. Her writing style is effortless to read and characterization and narrative skills difficult to beat in the YA genre. Would recommend to anyone!!

  6. I really enjoyed most of McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series...I slowed down though after a bit as I thought it kinda jumped the shark with where it went...but the beginning was awesome. I really should re-read the series and see if I can get through all the more recently published books.

    1. I am not reading them in order they have been published, but in a recommended order from a friend that goes along with the chronology of the books. I have found this is really good because you get to read different events from different peoples perspectives.

For example reading the hatching of Ruth in two books was awesome as you got to focus on different groups of peoples reactions :)

I have become a bit of a fan girl over them all - READ THEM AGAIN :D

  7. I need to read Dragon Drums too, I have read the first two many times, but for some reason I can't crack that book because I want to read more about Menolly! Let us know what you think :) I don't know about 50 Shades, guess I will read it when the crazy for it dies down. Thanks for visiting

    1. Menolly is easily my favorite character from the series so far. I could read 10 books just about her!!

  8. I really want to get Across the Universe, it looks really good. I've heard a lot of great stuff about McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series and will hopefully get round to reading them some day as I love fantasy and I love dragons! :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!

    1. I would strongly recommend both! Across the Universe is a bit more YA science fiction-y - when as the Dragon books are very traditional fantasy :)

  9. I loved 'Fifty Shades' and both of it's sequels! I've considered re-reading them, but there're so many things on my reading list, I can't bring myself to do it. I think I'm going to pick up 'Across the Universe' soon, too, because it's gotten such good reviews. Also, I have a few books by Ann McCaffrey but have never gotten around to reading any of them.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to say hello!
